I've long been in love with Pinterest, but recently became more concerned about the copyright issue thundercloud that hangs over the site. I had numerous 'inspiration boards' that I carefully built up for each of my story ideas, but have since taken them down until it becomes clearer to me how best we can proceed without crossing a line.

Your article has given me some great ideas of other (safe!) ways to create boards, though, as book covers don't appear to be as contentious. Thank you for getting me pinning again!

I love Pinterest for inspirations boards (as well as a reminder of how my house 'should' look and what I 'should' be cooking). I post links to favourite books and do list my book on there, but I must admit I haven't researched what effect this has on sales, nor do I visit many book sites based on other people's posts. It is fun though!

In reply to <a href="https://diymfa.demo.cmsminds.net/writing/why-writers-should-be-on-pinterest/#comment-677">Pat Dilloway</a>.

Hi Pat - Thanks for your comment. You know, not ever tip or social media tool is a perfect fit for every writer and it's important for writers to be able to identify what does and does not work for them. Sounds like Pinterest is not for you and kudos for recognizing that. Our goal here at DIY MFA is to share options that have worked for us and that we think might be useful to others. Ultimately though, it's always up to the writer to decide what works for them.
