It’s cross platform and the iPhone app I have has a voice recorder built into it – I imagine an Android version would be similar. Unlike Evernote all aspects of the app are completely free.

I’d like to add that Evernote can be a great way to collect these story sparks. You can store text, photos and even sounds and sort them into notebooks according to category. And since Evernote will synch between all your devices, you can have your notes wherever you go!
