I love being wrong! Not only was it for me as a person but also as a writer. I was in the meadow planting mint where it could grow wild. I sat and began taking notes for my characters. I have little fashion sense. Just enough to know to ask others – is this too young, is this me?

I was inspired to rip through my closet and pull out all those clothes that don’t *quite* fit. I vow to ditch anything that doesn’t make me feel authentically me — even if it means wearing the same purple cowl-neck sweater and chunky turquoise necklace every day for the next few weeks until I get a chance to go shopping. 😉

I also loved the discussion of how clothes shape our characters. As a sewist myself, I love adding in little details about how my characters’ clothes betray bits of their personality. Gabriela, I haven’t done the paint swatch thing with characters before, but I’m considering searching through my fabric stash to come up with colors/scraps to serve the same purpose.
