I totally agree! I DO wake up early to write my novel, but I go to sleep early too! I&#039;d rather get sleep than watch TV at night.]]></description>

That auto-shutdown sounds like a great habit, Sara! I&#039;d encourage you to try it again. It&#039;s hard to make myself go to bed early, but when I picture myself at 5:15AM, dragging myself to the writing desk, I know I have to make it happen.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[This post couldn&#039;t have been scheduled at a better time. I haven&#039;t been sleeping well since I came home from Writer&#039;s Digest Conference last week... and the fact that I&#039;m dealing with multiple (external) sources of stress right now isn&#039;t helping that bit. So I really appreciate you writing about how importance sleep is for writers and other creatives (and people in general). And in case you&#039;re wondering, I decided this morning that tonight will be a night off from the WIP to focus on self-care.

You made an excellent point about willpower being lower in the evening than at any other time of the day. Sometimes I end up lingering on the computer too long, then shutting down and getting ready for bed 30 to 45 minutes later than I&#039;d originally planned. What I need to do is set stronger limits for myself, and maybe reprogram a forced nighttime shutdown of my laptop. I did that a year or two ago, and it worked really well. Not sure why I stopped it, though...]]></description>
