I totally agree, Sara. It's hard to plan time for meditation because it requires physical space and mental strength, so it seems overwhelming when you're feeling anxious or stressed. But that's exactly when we need it most. I took a few days off recently when my family was dealing with a big event, and I missed it immediately. I should have done the opposite and dug in harder! Self-care is so hard sometimes.

I loved this post, Leanne. (Then again, I've loved a number of posts.) I try to meditate a few times each week, and while I can't say whether it's helped with my writing, it has definitely helped me personally in terms of worrying less and focusing on the here and now. The one bad habit I seem to have, though, is that I often neglect meditation when I'm anxious or stressed out - and that's when I need meditation most. So what I need to remember is to continue doing it consistently, so that my practice is already in place the next time I experience a lot of stress or anxiety.
