Thanks Tony for both the compliment and the point observation. Critique can follow a number of different directions. the best one is always the one that benefits the author most, and without communicating what he or she wants, the odds of that happening aren;t as good as if the author states it in words.

I rarely follow their suggestions, but it’s useful to know what a reader expects.
